CAFE SMART

We support CafeSmart, a StreetSmart charity that funds projects to help the homeless. CafeSmart has been R Coffee Co’s chosen charity since 2013. With beans donated from Campos Coffee and milk from local supplier Country Valley, RCC donates $2 from every coffee sold on the day.

ABOUT CAFESMART

CafeSmart brings together the community over a simple cup of coffee to help fund local homeless services. Once a year, about 764 cafes across Australia team up to raise funds to support the work that StreetSmart undertakes to help end homelessness.

Together with the support of coffee roasters, sponsors and generous customers, each participating cafe donates $1 from every coffee sold.

StreetSmart Australia then distribute these much needed funds through a community grants process, funding a variety of grassroots homeless services such as: Sydney Homeless Connect, Carevan, The Footpath Library and The Big Issue.

'Together we support local, grassroots community projects, helping people experiencing homelessness or at risk. This makes what we do unique. These smaller organisations struggle with a lack of resources to access the networks for grants and funding. The projects we support are varied and innovative, and provide critical services for people in their local community.'

RCC x CAFESMART

Each year R Coffee Co, together with Campos Coffee and Country Valley support StreetSmart Australia and their grass root programs that tackle homelessness in our local communities.
All 3 of our cafes - Picton, Camden and Mittagong participate, with customers going above and beyond with their support and increased generosity.

This year, due to the ongoing support of Campos Coffee and Country Valley, RCC was able to donate $2 from every coffee sold. Together with our awesome customers RCC Picton and RCC Camden were two of the National Top 10 Fundraisers!

In total R Coffee Co donated $3000 for 2017.

We look forward to next year, where we hope to hit a new record!
